<![CDATA[Every Atom is Already Perfectly Functioning in Nature! - What is Liberated Life Like?]]>Thu, 25 Apr 2024 09:48:27 -0400Weebly<![CDATA[Soh Wei Yu's daily life of liberation: "Feels like living in heaven."]]>Sun, 15 Dec 2019 05:04:26 GMThttp://u-dont-exist.com/liberated-life/soh-wei-yus-daily-life-of-liberation-feels-like-living-in-heavenPeople often wonder, what does it feel like to be liberated of the sense of self? Is it boring? Is it dumb? Is it numb?
Well, if you ask Emily Dickinson, just the opposite.
But instead of Emily, let's take a look at the current (2019) portrait of a day in the life of Soh Wei Yu, who writes the blog AwakeningToReality and has a facebook group of the same name. He's been lucky enough to, at a very young age, receive guidance from an elder named Thusness (who wrote the article Six (7) Stages of Awakening). With a pragmatic approach to the many branches of Buddhist teaching, Thusness cuts thru the crapola and explains what's what. He often refers to the Bahiya sutta in doing so. One thing that I learned from Thusness & Soh Wei Yu is that *a lot* of Buddhist teachers are misguided themselves, including so-called masters. There is a great tendency these days to either assume that Buddha was really an Advaita teacher (true self), or to assume that no-self is annihilation or some type of nothingness.

DISCLAIMER: Just because you feel you are living in heaven does NOT mean you are liberated. You might be stuck in a virtual reality heaven simulation or something silly like that. You're not liberated until you understand that everything is already perfect, and you never did exist.

In this discussion you'll also see some detractor who thinks that Soh Wei Yu is fooling himself. I assure you, he's not. Just 2 short emails from Soh Wei Yu transformed my life 6 years ago as I dissolved into Nibbana (beyond any ego death experience) upon finally understanding dependent origination sufficiently...
